A chef who treats his menu like a poem doesn't want a food photographer. He wants a painter. We answered with eighteen still lifes in the style of seventeenth-century Dutch masters.
We spent a day in the kitchen with the chef, tasting each course and writing notes on what each dish needed to feel like — not look like. Those notes became the prompts.
Eighteen plates were generated as still lifes, then printed at A2 and used both on the menu and as a small exhibition in the restaurant's entryway.
